When a couple of our Ph.D. developers told us that the Asana interface was too complicated we knew we were on to something with Yalla.
Asana is the monster in our marketplace. They have almost unlimited funds to work with. That makes it really hard for us to compete… but we believe that big things can be accomplished with a small team. Yalla has time tracking built into every aspect of the application. It’s also got the ability to invoice tracked time through integration with Freshbooks, one of the most popular cloud accounting systems on the market.
Asana will let you converse over a specific task or project (which you can also do in Yalla) but doesn’t give you a centralized communication area for team chat, direct message chat, and client chats. Yalla has all of that built in.
